These adorable little feathers clock in anywhere between one inch to just under one and a half inches in length. They have a pattern known as barred. The coloring is mostly black and white with grey undertones. Feathers are loose and natural. They were molted by my cocky Barred Rock rooster chicken. These feathers, like all of my birds feathers have been cleaned and are ready for use.

These feathers make a nice substitute for hawk feathers. Hawk feathers are not only illegal to sell, they are also illegal to own or use in crafts. In no way, shape, or form is it allowed for non American Indian folks to possess these types of feathers. My Barred Rock's feathers substitute nicely and you wont risk being on the wrong side of the law.

I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.

Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.

I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.

Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.

I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States copper penny (1¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.

If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
