I hand dyed this angora rabbit wool with genuine indigo. A natural plant based dye. The angora fibers I chose are from my Chestnut Agouti buck named River. His wool was gently hand harvested when it was molting. It was not cut. Wool was hand washed and rinsed after dying.

I love working with true indigo. This natural plant based dye traditionally gives blue jeans their distinctive color. It is incredibly versatile. It is also amazing to use in watercolor.
