This deep, rich indigo angora is my absolute favorite—my "baby"! I put extra love and effort into this natural indigo vat: building and maintaining the fermentation, multiple careful dips for that authentic depth and complexity, and thorough oxidation/rinsing for stability. The result is a true plant-dyed blue with subtle variations—moody midnight tones, subtle teal undertones where the fiber took differently—Chestnut Agouti wool from my English Angora buck, River. It's luxurious, Eco-conscious, and one-of-a-kind.

Harvest & Prep
Gently hand-pulled during natural molting—no cutting! This method gives long, smooth fibers with tapered ends (perfect for silky spinning with beautiful halo and less potential irritation). I've hand-carded this small lot into a light, ready-to-use preparation for easier spinning or felting accents, while keeping the natural indigo variations intact. Thoroughly washed and set after the indigo process for softness and to minimize any crocking.

Allergy & Sensitivity Note
Pulled angora is often the gentlest choice for sensitive folks—no sharp edges from cutting. Angora sensitivities are rare, but test a small pinch if new to it. Other cut or pulled colors available in my shop!

Dye & Care Notes
100% natural indigo (plant-based, non-toxic)—no synthetics here! Indigo is famously colorfast once set, but natural dyes can sometimes crock slightly (rub off dry) or release a bit in first washes (wash separately in cool water; vinegar rinse helps fix). For finished items, gentle hand-wash cool—see my guide: How To Clean Angora Wool Sweaters and Clothing

Images on rustic pine background show the deep, moody indigo tones and hand-carded fluffiness. Additional shots include the wool on my hand carders (to highlight the light carded texture), packaged in zero-waste tissue for Eco-friendly shipping, held in my hand for scale, and the final photo of River buried in a pile of autumn leaves with his sweet face peeking out—pure joy!

This tiny treasure is perfect for a special spindle-full of luxury yarn, adding indigo accents to felted art, or blending into heirloom projects. Message me for indigo tips, spinning ideas, or if you want to chat about natural dyeing—I'm passionate about it! 🐰💙
