Chestnut Agouti English Angora Rabbit Wool from River
My handsome buck River is a pure breed of Angora rabbit known as an English Angora. His coloring is called Chestnut Agouti. His beautiful wool is a rich chestnut, ticked with black tipped guard hairs. His wool has bands of tan, alternating with slate, and a blue-gray under color. I collect his fibers when it naturally sheds by a combination of combing and gentle hand pulling.

My beautiful natural English Angora rabbit wool is hand & comb pulled right here on my family farm. You get 100% pure fiber with nothing added. Pulling the wool when the coat is naturally shedding does not harm the rabbit & most enjoy the special attention. While I pull & groom them I give them plenty of ear head & cheek petting which they just love!
Angora rabbits need regular grooming & occasional pulling. It is easy to tell when they need to be pulled (about every 100 days) because they start to shed terribly & their wool comes out very easy. If it is hard to pull, it is not time to pull! Simple as that! In the warmer months our bunnies appreciate me reducing their thick warm coat! Angora wool is 9 times warmer than sheep wool!
I do not cut or shave my bunnies fur. Fiber that has been hand pulled from the rabbit is superior over shaved or clipped wool. Not only are the fibers longer, stronger, & healthier; allergens are released when the hair shaft is cut or broken (as would be the case in rabbits that are shaven). So if you find you are allergic to Angora this might be why! Try pulled wool instead.
Pictures are stock. No assortment of angora is identical although I do my best to provide the truest wool pictures possible. Be sure to take advantage of the pictures provided prior to making your purchase to ensure my rabbits fur is suitable for your needs.
