Monarchs need our help. Plant your own butterfly habitat with my wild harvested organic milkweed seeds. Milkweed is the only source of food for the Monarch caterpillar. The chemicals the caterpillar ingests from the milkweed plant remain in its body even after metamorphosis, making the adult butterfly toxic and bitter-tasting to many predators. Adults no longer feed on milkweed leaves but are still dependent on the nectar from the milkweed flowers and other nectar producing plants. Add other flowers & herbs such to your garden along with a shallow water dish to attract more beneficial pollinators and to help the Monarch from becoming extinct!
- You will get 2 Milkweed Pod (Common Milkweed or Asclepias syriaca)
- One Pod contains approx. 220 seeds
My milkweed is native to much of the eastern USA, Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) grows approx. 48" tall and blooms from late June - July. It is a Perennial hardy in zones 3 - 9.
You can also use my seed pods as "seed bombs!" Milkweed supports more than just butterflies. It is also beneficial to native bees, honey bees and other beneficial insects.
Feel good knowing you are getting wild harvested non GMO seeds grown in a organic natural environment. I allow several acres of my pasture to grow wild and untouched. I believe this attracts a larger variety of bugs, helping to keep any one species from overtaking. NO! sprays or treatments, even the organic approved types. I work with Mother Nature, not against her...
I am proud to be the first business in WV to sign the Safe Seed Pledge.
There is no better way to make your stand against GMO's (Genetically Modified Organisms) than to grow your own heirloom veggies by saving the seeds & passing them on. Don't let Monsanto take over our food!
