These beautiful shoulder &/or back feathers are from my very own stunning Speckled Sussex rooster. These natural feathers are mostly a dark red brown color with a touch of other colors - black &/or tan, some might have a metallic touch. They have a fluffy base with an upper body that becomes more narrow at the tip. The tips are fringed. The shape reminds me a little of the shape of a diamond. Feathers are loose and, like all of my birds feathers, have been cleaned.
- Qty: Approx. 30 Speckled Sussex Rooster shoulder &/or back feathers
- Size: Approx 1.5-2.5" inches / 3.81-6.35 centimeters

I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements. The three photos show a loose bunch of approximately twenty five of these feathers in my hand. Two photos with the body up, quills down and one photo in the reverse, quills up, body down.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
