Barred Rock Rooster Secondary Wing Feathers Qty: 8 Size: 6-6.5" (Gallus domesticus)
These are the secondary wing feathers from my Barred Rock roosters. The feathers are firm with a slight lifted curve and strong neutral quills. They have a slightly wider body than the primary wing feathers. Barred Rock chickens have a softly barred pattern similar to some hawks. Their coloring is muted in soft black and whites with grey undertones. Feathers loose and natural.

These feathers make a nice substitute for Hawk Feathers. Hawk feathers are not only illegal to sell, they are also illegal to own or use in crafts. In no way, shape, or form is it allowed for non American Indian folks to possess these types of feathers. My Barred Rock's feathers substitute nicely and you wont risk being on the wrong side of the law.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small ecofarm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
