Harvest & Prep
Gently hand-pulled during natural molting—no scissors or clippers involved! This ethical method preserves long, smooth fibers with tapered ends (a spinner's favorite for silky, halo-rich yarn and minimal irritation). The wool was thoroughly washed post-dye for maximum softness and dye stability.
Allergy & Sensitivity Note
Pulled angora like this is often gentler for those with sensitivities, as it avoids sharp cut edges that can sometimes cause itchiness. True angora allergies are uncommon (more often irritation from processing or coarse fibers), but always test a small amount if you're new to it. I also have cut options in other colors if preferred!
Dye & Care Notes
Non-toxic dye and multiple rinses—but bright hand-dyed shades can sometimes release a touch of color in the first wash (common and temporary). Wash separately in cool water with mild soap or a light vinegar rinse to set colors fully. For tips on caring for finished angora items (sweaters, scarves, yarn, etc.), check my guide: How To Clean Angora Wool Sweaters and Clothing
Images may vary slightly by screen—colors look different on devices, but these shots on multiple backgrounds (white pelt & pine lumber) give a true sense of the shade. Need carding advice or ideas for using this pink fluff? Message me—I'm always happy to chat fiber and help make your project magical! 🐰💕
Grab this limited dye lot before it's gone—ideal for soft baby yarns, floral felting, or adding a pop of sweetness to blends!
