These gorgeous real hens feathers are mainly an assortment of creamy whites, some with touches of brownish reds and fluff at the base. This unique color patterning is from my Rhode Island Red rooster breeding with my White Wyandotte hens. These beautiful girls are the result. They are mostly white chickens with splashes of color. Real feathers are commonly added to hair extensions, hats, sculptures, Native American, ceremonial and holiday projects, as well as many other fine crafts.
- Qty: Approx. 20 assorted Barnyard hen feathers
- Size: Approx. 4-4.5" inches / 10.16-11.43 centimeters

The last picture was taken in the morning during a snow storm. Pictured are four of my barnyard girls as well as two of each of my heritage Rhode Island Red and White Wyandotte hens. Some of my flocks wont venture out of their hen house when the snow falls, but this flock is made of tougher stuff.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
Size: L
Size Examples:
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States copper penny (1¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
