These hackle feather assortments are mainly creamy white in color with splashes grey. Some feathers may have a hint of, buff or reddish brown. Hen hackles are plumper than a roosters hackles with more rounded tips. Like a roosters hackles, they have soft fluff at their base.

This rare color patterning is from my heritage Rhode Island Red rooster breeding with my heritage White Wyandotte hens. These beautiful birds are the result. These barnyard girls are mostly white chickens with splashes of color. Natural feathers are used in a wide variety of crafts and projects for things such as organic beauty, home decor, recreational sports and ceremonial purposes.
I have taken photos on three different natural backgrounds to help you determine how these feathers look. The last photo is of my barnyard girls in the snow along with my heritage breed Rhode Island Red girls.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.

I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States copper penny (1¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
