Natural black and white patterned feathers with soft grey fluff at their base. These plumes are from the wing &/or tail. They are of small-medium size. Feathers have a little bit of stiffness while retaining decent flexibility. They are less likely to become damaged if bent as long as they are not bent too severely.

I have taken photos on two different natural backgrounds to help you determine how these feathers look. The last photo is of one my Dark Brahma girls during the very early spring.
I clean my birds feathers using well water, organic soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled. Labels provide my farms info., type of bird, quantity, and size.
Feathers are from my Eco farm; raised, cared for and loved by my family. I am not a feather reseller.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.

I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements. The two photos show a loose bunch of approximately twenty of these feathers in my hand.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
