This assortment includes floppy tail feathers in the size range of approximately five to five and a half inches long. Feathers are a natural metallic (depending on the lighting) black color with a little bit of white lacing. These are real feathers that I have collected and cleaned by hand. Tail feathers commonly have a few nicks aka beak marks and generally more wear than the rest of a roosters feathers. I put aside only the best that I collect and add the worst to my pet toy assortments.

The Silver Laced is the original coloring of the Wyandotte heritage breed of chicken. They have tightly fitted feathers along their main body with lustrous smooth black and white plumes. The black markings are clearly defined with a hint of green (depending on the lighting).
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
Size: XL
Size Examples:
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements. The two photos show a loose bunch of approximately thirteen of these feathers in my hand. One with the body up, quills down and the other with the quills to the left, body to the right.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
