This unique two-toned green angora fiber reminds me of rough ocean waves crashing on the shoreline—clear, clean green water mixed with sandy, "dirty" heads as they break. The darker coloring in Twinkles' natural lilac tortoiseshell wool resisted the dye more than the lighter areas, creating beautiful variation: brighter true green on the lighter base and muted, deeper greenish-grey tones where her darker shading took hold. Hand dyed with non-toxic green dye on the naturally lighter beige/fawn wool from my Lilac Tortoiseshell doe, Twinkles. The result is this dynamic, ocean-inspired two-tone effect—perfect for textured projects that benefit from natural variation.

Gently hand-cut with scissors during natural molting—no pulling or plucking. This method provides clean, even staple lengths with uniform ends—great for consistent carding, spinning, or felting without second cuts. Thoroughly rinsed multiple times post-dye for softness and dye stability.
