I grow, hand-harvest, and dry every ounce of this catnip myself on my small, nearly off-grid farm in the USA. This is whole plant catnip (Nepeta cataria), which includes leaves, small stems, and a few buds for maximum variety and scent. I remove only the large woody center stalks (those go straight to the compost).

This pawsome catnip is a little different from my whole leaf only or bud only Kitty Krack. Because it’s the whole plant, you’ll find small stems, leaves, and potentially a few buds here and there. I hand-cut everything with scissors and dry it at a low, herb-safe 95°F.
Why whole plant catnip?
By not grinding it into dust, it holds its potent essential oils much longer. Your cat gets a stronger, longer-lasting experience! You can give it to them as-is, crush it in your hands, or grind it fresh for toys. If I ground it ahead of time, it would lose its potency faster. My goal is to give your purrfect felines (and mine) the best 'nip possible.
How it's made:
I start harvesting my chemical-free catnip by hand when the plants begin to flower. All day long I watch a variety of winged locals visiting my crop — goldfinches chattering among the stalks and bees peacefully buzzing from bud to bud. I dive right in, cutting as much as I can fit into my dehydrator set at that gentle 95°F.
