Real black and white chicken feather assortment with lighter colored fluff at their base. Feather upper bodies have a pattern that can vary from solid black to mostly white. The lace pattern is more prominent in hens where most feathers have white centers laced with black. These feathers can also vary in shape. Some may be tapered while others may have more rounded tips. There are no guarantees as to what will be in each package. For example, some may have no feathers with tapered tips, while others may have several.

I consider the size of these feathers to be medium large for their type. By type I am referring to the smaller soft feathers that clothe the main part of a chickens body IE not wing or tail feathers. Wing and tail feathers tend to be much longer and stiffer. If you are looking for the largest and strongest feathers possible, you may want to explore my larger feather listings. If on the other hand, you want softer more flexible feathers, these may be what you want. However, please pay attention to the sizing prior to ordering any of my birds feathers. What once person considers big, another may consider small.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.

If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
