This deep, rich black undyed raw angora wool showcases Boo's classic Black self-color—solid and intense overall, with natural multi-layered banding from the molting cycle (darker tips on new growth lightening slightly as the coat lengthens, creating subtle depth and texture). Perfect for natural medium-dark yarns, blending for shadows, or projects needing luxury.

Harvest & Prep
Gently hand-pulled (with comb assistance when needed) during natural molting—no scissors or clippers for the pulled lots! This careful, ethical method adapts to each harvest: hands for quicker sections when the new coat emerges, and a comb for comfort on my wrists while removing the loose shedding coat comfortably for the bunny. It preserves long, smooth fibers with tapered ends—ideal for luxurious spinning with great halo and gentler feel. The scissor-cut lot is gently hand-cut during molting for clean, even staple lengths with uniform ends—great for consistent carding/spinning without second cuts. Minimally cleaned post-harvest to remove loose bits—ready for your creativity.

Allergy & Sensitivity Note
Hand-pulled angora like this is often the gentlest option for sensitive folks—no sharp cut edges. The scissor-cut version offers uniformity, though some prefer pulled for tapered ends. True angora sensitivities are rare (more often from coarseness or processing), but test a small amount if unsure. Other natural or dyed options in the shop!

Care & Storage Notes
Store raw fiber in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain softness and prevent mustiness. To help deter moths, place cedar blocks or dried lavender nearby—I grow and sell dried lavender stalks here on the farm (perfect for making your own sachets, refillable bags, or using in large natural tea bags). They add a gentle, calming scent while naturally repelling pests (refresh every few months by squeezing). Keep in breathable bags or containers (avoid airtight plastic long-term unless vacuum-sealed briefly). If washing before processing, use cool water and mild soap gently. For finished yarns or items, gentle hand-wash cool—full tips in my guide: How To Clean Angora Wool Sweaters and Clothing.

Photos & Final Notes
Most photos are on natural worn pine wood background to highlight the deep black richness and subtle banding in natural light. One special shot shows the wool on both dark brown pelt (left side, ending toward the right) and white pelt (right side, layered behind/under the dark)—creating a mountain/landscape layout with black wool along the entire lower portion for contrast on both backgrounds. Two grooming photos show Boo's coat gently blown open to reveal the beautiful color banding and depth. The first photo is Boo outdoors, looking adorable in her element. The wool is packaged in zero-waste tissue paper for Eco-friendly shipping (separate photos show each lot size/type in the tissue wrapping). Images may vary by screen/lighting, but they capture the true black intensity and natural banding best.

Message me anytime—I'm happy to chat bunny raising, farm life, natural dyeing experiments (my favorite creative playtime!), or whatever fiber fun you're up to! While my main focus is caring for the critters and growing things like lavender and dye plants, I love hearing your spinning, felting, or project ideas (customers often teach me new tricks too). Let's geek out together! 🐰🖤🧶

Grab this pure Black raw lot—limited, ethically harvested, and perfect for deep natural yarns, blending for shadows, or spinning rich banded wool luxury!
