Natural soft black colored tail feathers with random creamy white speckles and marks. These real hens feathers can have a slightly metallic sheen depending on the lighting. There is a good amount of fluff at their base. The upper feather body is somewhat ridged with some flexibility. They are less likely to become damaged if bent. However, if bent too extreme, they can become permanently damaged. The colorless (aka fingernail color) quills are strong with no damages.

I clean my birds feathers using well water, organic soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.

If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
