Naturally white wing and tail feather assortment hand dyed using my own organically grown blackberries. After washing, the feathers turned a light shade of blue with a little pink along the feathers spine. Feathers range in size from three to seven inches. The longer plumes are stiff wing feathers. The smaller feathers are more flexible tail feathers. They have fluff at their base.
- Qty: 13 assorted White Wyandotte hen feathers
- Size: Approx. 3-7" inches / 7.62-17.78-13.97 centimeters

It was a battle with the birds to collect enough blackberries to make up a nice dye pot. With the advice from my loyal supporters, I decided to try using rubber snakes. Every day either myself or my husband would move the snakes to different parts of the blackberry canes so that the birds didn't figure out what we were up to. As you might have guessed, it worked!
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
Size: M-XXL
Size Examples:
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
