Dyer's chamomile is a natural dye that will produce yellow hues on fibers such as wool and silk that have been first treated with a mordant. More colors can be achieved by altering the pH of the dye bath. The color will vary depending on mordants, water, type of fiber, and amount of dye stuff. All part of the pleasures found when utilizing natural plant based dye.

Works best on pre-mordanted protein fiber - wool and silk.
The typical ratio is 1:2 dye stuff to fiber. More dye stuff equals a deeper color. A great resource for natural dye is the book Wild Color by Jenny Dean.
These flowers, like all my flowers, were grown on my small Eco farm homestead without any pesticides, fungicides, or insecticides (not even the organic OMRI approved types). I believe in working with Mother Nature, not against her.
All the flower heads have been hand harvested and solar dried by yours truly.
Note: Flowers may get crushed in shipping. Dried flowers are fragile and although I package as carefully as possible, they are susceptible to shedding or bits breaking off. Please handle with care.
To maintain beauty and color, keep out of direct sunlight and humid areas.
Please see photos for flower size reference. Note: the amounts shown loose, including in the palm of my hand is less than one ounce. The amount shown in the package contains one ounce and that is what is shown.
