Mimosa (also known as Persian Silk Tree or Pink Silk Tree) is a fast-growing, beautiful ornamental tree with feathery leaves and fluffy pink pompom flowers. These flat, papery brown seed pods drop naturally from my own trees each year.

Growing Your Own Mimosa Trees
These pods contain several hard seeds each. To grow:
Mimosa trees are fast-growing, drought-tolerant once established, and add beautiful summer color with their silky pink flowers. They attract pollinators and hummingbirds!

I collect these pods straight from the ground under my own Mimosa trees — fully natural and solar-dried by Mother Nature. Grown in my messy, biodiverse garden that supports beneficial insects and wildlife. No sprays or treatments of any kind. I work with Mother Nature.

These pods contain several hard seeds each. To grow:
- Open the papery pods carefully and remove the seeds.
- Scarify (lightly nick or sand) the hard seed coat and soak in warm water overnight.
- Plant in well-draining soil; germinate at warm temperatures (70–85°F). Germination can take 1–8 weeks.
