Dried Hibiscus Calyxes (1.5 oz) — vibrant red Thai Red Roselle calyxes from my no-till, chemical-free garden.
These bright, tart calyxes make beautiful jewel-toned herbal tea and are wonderful in lemonade, jams, syrups, and savory dishes.

How I Grow & Process Them:
- Started from USDA Certified Organic seeds
- Hand-harvested one by one when fully mature
- Seed pods carefully removed by hand
- Gently dried at low temperature to preserve color and nutrients
- Packed fresh on my small regenerative farm in West Virginia

Make Your Own Organic Hibiscus Herbal Tea
The dried bright red calyxes of the hibiscus plant can be used to make your own Red Zinger® tea free from so-called natural flavors*. Or my personal favorite made by yours truly. My naturally Vitamin C rich Hibiscus Herbal Tea recipe. When making tea, it needs to be boiled to get the deep red color and flavor. Simmer for 10-20 minutes or longer.
Contents are 100% dried hibiscus.
Feel good knowing you are getting chemical free, non GMO calyxes grown in a organic and natural no till environment. Aside from keeping my soils healthy, I believe my methods attracts a larger variety of bugs, helping to keep any one species from overtaking. NO! sprays or treatments, even the organic approved types. I believe in working with Mother Nature, not against her.
Hibiscus is from my Eco farm homestead. My hibiscus bushes are started from USDA Certified Organic seeds. Late in my growing season, they begin to bloom. These blossoms develop into stunning red calyxes. When the calyxes are mature, I snip them off of the bushes one by one. I then use a paring knife to hand cut out all of the hidden seed balls, leaving the calyxes behind. Finally, they are ready to be gently dried. Once dried, I weigh and label each bag for your future enjoyment. I am not a reseller.
Hibiscus is from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
Note: Calyxes may crush slightly during shipping — this is normal and does not affect quality.
