Here you can find some of my favorite companies (small and large) and non profits. I do not get paid, get free items or kickbacks of any kind for endorsing these businesses and non profits.

   Catnip Confections
Cat toys made using only organic all natural ingredients like naturally colored cottons, wool, and herbs.
Hint: These organic toys are a little pricey, but the organic herbs inside her creations are the cats meow. I like to try to order
at least one toy a year for my felines. They can't get enough of these toys, or many of the other toys mentioned below.

Picture
    The Ecstatic Cat
Unique cat toys made out of scraps of American Bison leather, sheepskin and rabbit fur to make the highest quality,
handmade fur toys for your kitty cat. Toy options include organic catnip, catnip and silvervine mix, and catnip free.
     Your kitty will go wild!
Hint: My cats are bonkers over these furry toys. After years of play, they still look brand new. The quality is exceptional.

Picture
   Purrfect Play
Lovingly crafted natural and organic pet toys that make great gifts for dogs and cats. Toys are made without synthetic materials
   or toxic poly fills.
Hint: My cats love these toys. They are very well made & last for years.

  Cats Love Ewe
Why a wool pet bed? Beside the obvious natural beauty of real wool fleece and the creature comfort it provides your
pet, you are helping support an American Small Farm. Wool is purchased from individuals who have sheep, not big industrial
farms. These sheep are pets themselves. They have names and are loved and cared for throughout their lives. The shepherds sell the wool from their beloved pets to help feed and maintain the flock, so you are supporting an actual animal. Also, wool is biodegradable & compostable. Hopefully, your fleece will last you many years with good care, but, when it does go back into the earth it is a natural process. Unlike acrylics or petroleum-based textiles. Where do the products you buy at the big box stores really come from? At Cats Love Ewe, you know that it was made with 100% wool from an American Small Farm.

   Cats Essentials
The folks at Cats Essentials care for our planet as much as they care for our cats because they believe that every living
being is interconnected. They continue to make good choices for the planet & for kitties, sourcing only sustainable & no
toxic materials for each of our products.
Hint: I found Cats Essentials when looking for an organic pet bed. I ended up ordering their Nido Cat Bed. All of my cats love it!

Picture
  Local Harvest
Local Harvest connects people looking for good food with the farmers who produce it. Buying local is
about enjoying real food, grown yourself or purchased from people you trust. It's about developing
strong local economies and producing food on a human scale. It's about eating seasonally, practicing the
art of cooking, and sitting down to enjoy meals together. It requires ample local and regional producers,
processors, and distributors. As we see it, the goal of the local food movement is to create thriving
community-based food systems that will make high quality local food available to everyone.

Picture
The Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Data Base
Here you can look up the safety of sun, skin, hair, nails, makeup, fragrances, baby products, oral care, and men's products to see
how they rate for safety. If you don't see a brand you are wondering about, you have the option to look up each ingredient to see
it's safety rating. No more needless worrying about using toxic products.
Hint: Anytime I want to check a product, this is the first place I go.

Picture
  The Livestock Conservancy
A nonprofit membership organization working to protect nearly 200 breeds of livestock and poultry from extinction.
Hint: This is where I check for what rare farm animal breeds to raise.

Picture
   The Institute For Responsible Technology
Founded in 2003 by GMO expert Jeffrey Smith, & is credited with improving government policies.

Picture

Here you can find a wonderful assortment of everyday products that are not made from plastic. My favorite is
their wool insulated lunch bags as well as their stainless steel mason jar lids. They are committed to building
awareness about the dangers of plastic & the existence of healthier alternatives for everyday products. Healthier for the Earth, healthier for us all.
Showing the world, one person at a time, the beauty and significance of a life without plastic.
