In February of 2020 I had this great idea to try spinning an ounce of beautiful raw green cotton lint from Running Bug Farm. Happy New Year, Jen! We’re all excited for a smother 2021! Orville Periwinkle is settling in very well. He’s schedule for neutering next month and it feels like he’s been here forever. We really appreciate all of your early support □. We did cut his hair recently because he doesn’t like to sit for grooming for too long. It’s a terrible cut but it’ll grow back quickly! He definitely fancies himself as the little prince of the house. He has started to pee on our female dog that is his play buddy. We figure this will resolve after he’s neutered. He comes downstairs with the other animals every morning and goes to bed on his own cage at night in Niko’s room - he is very athletic and kept escaping the pen! They all bring so much joy to our lives but I have to say that this little one is something else. She went from being super shy to completely owning me like a boss. Oh my gosh this fur is beautiful and oh sooo soft!! And the best part is that it's 100% Cruelty Free! Sadly, finding cruelty free angora, alpaca, wool etc is hard these days! I'm trying to learn how to make dollhouse miniature pets and babies so I wanted cruelty free angora to fur miniature cats and hair for fairy babies. Self teaching is a slow process but as soon as I make one half decent I will share a photo of them with this fur! The pic does not do this fur justice and you can't tell how soft it is unless you feel it yourself! Shipping was very fast and the fur was beautifully wrapped. I first ordered from y'all because I had never seen catnip sticks before and I had a foster cat that just loved to chew on things. They worked like a charm for her, and have been popular with my resident cats and other fosters' kitties. :) Our in-shelter cats are also having a wonderful time with the feathers, since it's the middle of kitten season our toy donations for enrichment basically run out instantly, so having an affordable and quick shipping option (we're over in Baltimore so it gets here super quick) is really fabulous when I want to put together DIY cat enrichment toys quick. I attached a picture of one of the enrichment's that I use for my foster kitties. I put treats in the kitty kong and run the feather and the catnip stick through it. The kitties are pretty smart and figured out that they need to pull out the feather and the stick to get at the treats, and they have tons of fun with all of the components even after the treats are gone. :) Since I only have a couple of kitty kongs, I also do a similar setup by making toilet paper roll "birds."
