These beautiful little feathers are loose with a fluffy base. Some feathers may appear metallic in the black depending on how the light hits them. They are very small, ranging anywhere between one inch to just under one and a half inches. This is the second to smallest size my birds offer. This spectacular color pattern is called "laced" in the chicken world.
- Qty: Approx. 30 assorted Black Laced Red Wyandotte rooster feathers
- Approx. 1-1.49" inches / 2.54-3.78 centimeters
I clean my birds feathers using rain water, my own handcrafted feather soap, vinegar, & dryer sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged & labeled. Labels provide my farms info., type of bird, quantity, & size.
Feathers are from my Eco-farm; raised, cared for, & loved by my family. I am not a feather reseller.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid & this is my only source of heat.
I do not sell feathers from endangered, protected, or wild species of birds. Such as Eagle, Hawk, Owl, Falcon, Song Bird, Parrot, etc. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised farm birds on my small Eco-Farm.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States copper penny (1¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
