These mini feathers are a nice replacement for hawk & owl feathers which are illegal to posses unless you are a Native American. Miniature feathers are very popular in bottle pendants as well as other fine jewelry crafts & miniatures. These adorable grizzly feathers are packaged in lots of thirty and range in any tiny size under one and a half inches.

These feathers make a nice substitute for Hawk Feathers! Hawk feathers are not only illegal to sell, they are also illegal to own or use in crafts. In no way shape or form is it allowed for non American Indian folks to possess these types of feathers! My Barred Cochin feathers substitute nicely & you wont risk being on the wrong side of the law!
Cochin chickens are on the Livestock Breeds Conservation Priority List (see resources). When you purchase my birds feathers, you directly assist me in my efforts to continue to raise these gentle birds.
I clean my birds feathers using well water, organic soap, vinegar, & heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged & labeled. Labels provide my farms info., type of bird, quantity, & size.
Feathers are from my Eco farm; raised, cared for, & loved by my family. I am not a feather reseller.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid & this is my only source of heat.
I do not sell feathers from endangered, protected, or wild species of birds. Such as Eagle, Hawk, Owl, Falcon, Song Bird, Parrot, etc. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised farm birds on my small Eco farm.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States copper penny (1¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
