Hand grown, picked, seeded, packed, and grown using better than organic methods, heirloom Arkansas Green raw cotton lint (no seeds). It takes me approx. eight hours to de-seed (aka hand gin) one ounce of cotton fiber. One ounce of cotton is what is pictured.
After the lint (cotton) has been hand pulled from the husk (boll), each individual seed is removed by hand, all that remains is the pure raw cotton lint. The bolls are not included. They are just to show what the cotton looks like intact.

This years batch has a yellow-green coloring with some tan coloring as well. The coloring is how the fibers develop on each plant. I've noticed that the weather tends to impact the final color of the lint from year to year.
If you spin, you will welcome having your very own chemical free all natural cotton. No dyes, no bleach, no synthetic fertilizers, no chemicals, nothing artificial, nothing added. One hundred percent pure and natural cotton made by Mother Nature, not Bayer/Monsanto.
Photos: I have added natural elements such as bird feathers, leaves, shells, a Sea Island Brown cotton boll and even a ruler to help you judge the color of this cotton. These additional items are not included with the ginned cotton.

For those of you with classes spinning raw cotton:
Feel good knowing you are getting heirloom (non GMO) cotton grown in a chemical free environment (organics). I intermingle all my crops creating a messy but beautiful landscape. I believe this attracts a larger variety of bugs, helping to keep any one species from overtaking. No sprays or treatments, even the organic approved types. I work with Mother Nature, not against her.
