Large Black Spanish Turkey Feathers (4-4.5") — striking, dramatic feathers with a beautiful metallic black color that can shimmer with iridescent highlights depending on the light.

These feathers come from my rare Black Spanish turkeys (listed on The Livestock Conservancy Watch List). They are excellent for statement pieces in dream catchers, smudge wands, Native American-inspired crafts, centerpieces, holiday decor, and more.
Hand-collected during natural molting from my free-ranging, pasture-raised heritage turkeys on my small Eco-farm in West Virginia. Cleaned and sterilized using well water, organic soap, vinegar, and heat.

Black Spanish Turkeys are on The Livestock Conservancy Watch list (resources) with fewer than 5,000 breeding birds in the United States, with 10 or fewer primary breeding flocks, and an estimated global population less than 10,000.

I clean my birds feathers using well water, organic soap, vinegar, and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled. Labels provide my farms info., type of bird, quantity, and size.

Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.

I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States copper penny (1¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
