Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Hen Feathers Qty: 30 Size: 1.5-2.5" (Gallus domesticus)
These cruelty free hen feathers are mainly an assortment chestnut shades (called red) lined with grey (called blue). This color and pattern is known as blue laced. Some feathers may have larger centers than others with more or less lacing. Some feathers may be of mainly one color. They all have soft lighter colored fluff at their base.
Pictured is one of my hens free ranging in the very early spring.

The coin in some of the photos is of a United States quarter. The quarter & the ruler are to help you judge the size variations. This feather size is what I consider small. I have two size ranges that are smaller: tiny bits & teeny bits. On the larger end, feathers can be as long as about nine inches. This maximum length is typically the primary wing feathers of the hens.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small ecofarm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
