My husband wood burned this image of a Blue Crab on cherry tree wood. The wood was taken from one of our cherry trees that need to be pruned. This piece has been sanded and is very smooth on top. On the back, the glaze is a little less smooth. The edges (the bark) is the least smooth. The bark has been lightly sealed, making it smoother than it would be if it was unfinished. At the top, some of the bark has peeled as evidenced in the photos. There are also some small sections where lichen has grown.
