The last photo is of my girls pecking around the wood pile for tasty morsels.
The coin in some of the photos is a United States quarter. The quarter & the ruler are to help you better judge the size variation of the feathers in hope that it will assist you in choosing the correct size for your project needs.
I clean my birds feathers using well water, organic soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled. Labels provide my farms info., type of bird, quantity, and size.
Feathers are from my Eco farm; raised, cared for and loved by my family. I am not a feather reseller.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
