All natural cleaned feathers are from my beautiful Speckled Sussex Rooster. These feathers are very colorful with an interesting mix of reddish brown, metallic blacks, soft grey fluff & white tips. Some natural feathers are more colorful than others. Some have white tips, some don't. Some have a metallic touch (depending on how the light hits them), some don't. All have a soft grey fluff at their base.
- Qty: 4 assorted Partridge Cochin hen feathers
- Size: Approx 6.5" inches / 16.51 centimeters

Cochin chickens are on the Livestock Conservation Priority List (see resources). When you purchase feathers from my farm you directly help me in my efforts to keep these birds.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of approximately four of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
