Incredibly small, mainly black, real bird feathers with a bit of lighter colored fluff at the base. These mini chicken feathers are perfect for your projects that need teeny feathers. The breed of bird is known as a Cochin with the unique color pattern that is referred to as "partridge". I hand packaged these in lots of thirty. Their size can be any size under one inch or even smaller.
- Qty: Approx. 30 assorted Partridge Cochin rooster feathers
- Size: Approx. any size less than 1" inch / 2.54 centimeters

Cochin chickens are on the Livestock Conservancy Priority List (see resources). When you purchase my birds feathers, you directly help me in my efforts to keep these birds.
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in/with my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
