These very little feathers are the second to smallest size my birds offer. They range from as small as one inch long to as large as just under one and a half inches long. There is a little variation as is normal with real plumage. Some feathers are wider and plumper than others. Some may be much more narrow and slender. They all have a touch of soft fluff at their base. Their coloring is described as lemon and orange, hence the name Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner. They are mainly an orange-buff color with lighter colored fluff. Some show bars, others are more solid. Some feathers may have darker grey to soft black markings. This is a wonderful breed of rooster that are a joy to have on my pastures. They are not bullies and are not aggressive. I never have to worry when I am around them.

I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided a photo of some of these feathers in my hand and a photo with approximately thirty of these feathers laid out next to my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
