These small assorted rooster feathers are a orange-buff color with lemon colored barring. The feathers barred pattern can be absent, subtle or obvious. They have plenty of light soft fluff on the lower half of their body. These real bird feathers have not been altered or dyed. They have been cleaned and are ready for use.
- Qty: Approx. 30 assorted Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner rooster feathers
- Size: Approx. 1.5-2.5" inches / 3.81-6.35 centimeters
I clean my birds feathers using filtered well water, Eco soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled with my farms information, the type of bird, the quantity and the size.
I am not a feather reseller. I exclusively sell feathers only from my own humanely raised birds on my small Eco-farm.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements. Two photos show a loose bunch of approximately thirty of these feathers in my hand. In the other two photos, one features three feathers in my palm, the other shows two feathers in my palm. I did this to show the various possible size ranges of the feather groupings in this size range (1.5-2.5").
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
