These real rooster saddle feathers have tapered tips with delicate reddish brown eye lash fringe along the edges of the upper half of the feather body. The base of the feathers have soft grey fluff. The centers of the feathers are usually black and some may have a reddish brown pinstripe down the middle. The potential for metallic colors depends on the lighting. They can appear mostly dark with a hint of reddish brown or a more vibrant metallic in the black with a fiery hue in the brown.

I clean my birds feathers using well water, organic soap, vinegar and heat sterilization.
Feathers are hand packaged and labeled. Labels provide my farms info., type of bird, quantity, and size.
Feathers are from my Eco farm; raised, cared for and loved by my family. I am not a feather reseller.
Feathers are from my smoking free home, although I do heat my home exclusively with a wood stove as I am almost entirely off of the grid and this is my only source of heat.
Size: M
Size Examples:
I have provided photos of these feathers with a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided photos of these feathers in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements. The three photos show a loose bunch of approximately twenty five of these feathers in my hand. Two photos with the body up, quills down and one photo in the reverse, quills up, body down.
If you are unsure of the size of feathers that you need, I strongly recommend getting a ruler, tape measure, dress makers tape, etc. and looking at the size/s you need in inches (rather than using the eyeball it in the hand method). First measure where you want to use the feathers and what your expectations are. When you see the approximate length, write it down and compare that length in inches to the feathers I have listed to help you find the size that's perfect for your needs.
