My husband wood burned this rustic image of two wild ducks in flight over a quiet pond filled with cattails at sunset. The wood he chose for this project is light weight pine that was salvaged. He used a router to shape and frame the sides. The sides were then burned with a pen torch. The sunset was created with watercolor.

This piece has been sanded and is smooth on all sides. It has been lightly sealed with water based polycrylic semigloss, making it slightly smoother than it would be if it was unfinished. The clear coat helps to protect the image and the wood.
