My husband wood burned this rustic image of a duck calmly floating in a pond. The wood he chose for this project is Sycamore from a tree that was dying on our property and had to be cut down for safety. This entire process is done by hand, not by machine.

This piece has been sealed with a water base semigloss polyurethane (Minwax Polycrylic) to help protect the image and the wood. It has been sanded smooth on both sides. The edges (the bark) is the least smooth. The bark has been lightly sealed, making it smoother than it would be if it was unfinished. The clear coat helps to protect the image and the wood.
Note: Hanging hardware is not included. Holes have not been drilled.
I have provided a photo of a United States Standard ruler which is twelve inches long (12"). A standard United States silver quarter (25¢) is pictured with the ruler to further assist with scale. I have also provided a photo of this art piece in my hand for those who prefer not to use standard measurements.
