Thanks to it's naturally high mineral content, chocolate brown illite clay may be useful for a variety of skin types including oily, aging, and combination skin. I created this soap without any essential oils. This is simply pretty milk chocolate colored plain soap with real chocolate brown illite clay added for it's ability to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. Plus, the goat milk (in all of my soaps) helps to soothe and moisturize the skin.

Because Illite Clay is naturally mildly abrasive, care should be taken for those with dry and/or sensitive skin. I recommend following the use of this soap with a high quality natural moisturizer for maximum benefits for those with dry or sensitive skin types.
If you have dry sensitive skin and are concerned about using this soap, you may want to check out my Unscented Pink Kaolin Clay Soap. It is gentle and non drying unlike many other types of clay. This makes my Pink Kalolin clay soap especially lovely for aging skin. It is my winter favorite when the air is painfully dry, and my wood stove is keeping my little cabin cozy. In the summer, I find this Brown Illite clay soap rather useful as I spend the majority of my days and nights sweating.
Old fashioned cold process soap made by hand in small batches without any artificial fragrances, toxic perfumes or chemical dyes. I've been making my own organic milk soap for many years now. As long as I can make it, I'll never buy commercial "store bought" soap again. My soap softens and moisturizes with organic olive and coconut oils while nourishing skin with real goat milk. In my humble farm woman opinion, it's the perfect soap.
Goat milk soap naturally contains glycerin. Glycerin is an excellent moisturizer. Most commercial soap manufactures remove the glycerin and sell it separately. The pH of goat milk soap is very close to the natural pH of human skin. Handmade goat milk soap is a naturally gentle product that cleans skin without being harsh or irritating. It is extremely beneficial to folks with sensitive skin.

I am always looking for realistic ways to reduce waste. All of my milk soaps are wrapped in zero waste packaging. They are typically shipped in recycled kraft bubble mailers, some may ship in flat cardboard/paper priority envelopes, while others will require priority bubble mailers or boxes. If you order soap along with more delicate items such as feathers, it typically requires much more careful packaging and usually bubble wrap or something similar. I do not buy bubble wrap or other plastic packaging. Any padding of this sort, has been reused. Feel free to save the bubble wrap for sending your own packages or for storing delicate items.
